Switzerland at CeBIT 2016
Switzerland will be an official partner at the centre of CeBIT 2016, the world's largest international ICT trade fair, which opens on Monday 14 March in Hanover. Sixty Swiss companies will showcase their innovative products in the 1,700 m2 Swiss Pavilion, making Switzerland's presence at CeBIT 2016 ten times bigger than in previous years.
The President of the Swiss Confederation and Head of the Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research, Johann Schneider-Ammann, will spend 24 hours in Hanover, where he will open CeBIT 2016 together with Germany's Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy and Vice Chancellor, Sigmar Gabriel. On Tuesday 15 March, Mr Schneider-Ammann will accompany German Chancellor Angela Merkel on her traditional tour of the fair, which is scheduled to last about two hours.
