Precision sports
- Fencing (6-14 August)
- Shooting (6-14 August)
Everyone has heard about Swiss precision when it comes to measuring time, and it is a quality that also comes in handy in disciplines that require dexterity. Switzerland has won 28 medals in total for these two disciplines, and Marcel Fischer's 2004 Olympic win in fencing is still fresh in the minds of Swiss spectators.
