The event discusses how companies in the energy and extractive industries can prevent human trafficking in their supply chains, especially by identifying and mitigating human trafficking risks, mapping of suppliers, standardization of suppliers labour practices, internalizing costs associated with THB prevention in supply chains, managing reputational risks, pros and cons of social auditing, existing experience in CSR, increasing transparency and respect for human rights and use of new methods to obtain information on human rights violations.
Youth Regional Meeting on Water in Central Asia
Saturday, June 17, 2017Around 20 youg people will gather in Astana for three days in order to discuss water management issues.
From the 17th to the 19th of June 2017, the International Secretariat for Water (ISW), with the support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), organizes the first “Youth Regional Meeting on Water in Central Asia”. Around 20 young people from Central Asia and the nearby region between the ages of 18 and 30, who are active in the water and sanitation sector, will have the opportunity to exchange on and contribute to the required actions aimed at better integrated water management in the region.
