Every weekends, the House of Switzerland will offer guests a unique taste experience in the heart of Paris, with a generous helping of Swiss savoir-faire, simplicity and conviviality. The giant table at the House’s weekend brunch will feature the best Switzerland has to offer. And we want guests to feel right at home. The focus will be on traditional Swiss fare, with top-quality artisanal and alpine products on the menu, such as cheese, raclette, cured meat, sausages, all types of bread, seasonal vegetables, sweet treats and local wines....Young and old alike can also take part in a chocolate workshop where they can create their own chocolate, mould it and taste it – a veritable dream come true for chocoholics. There will also be morning joga classes on Sunday for those who want to be active, while the more hedonistic can lie back in a deckchair and lose themselves in the sounds of an acoustic session while enjoying a fresh fruit juice or a glass of white wine and watching the Seine go by.

"Murder and madness" with Antoine Jaquier et Marie-Christine Horn.
Edelweiss noir – Swiss crime thrillers
French-language literature from Switzerland has been taking the literary world by storm, exciting its audience with an array of Swiss noir fiction. Paris should be on guard as these Swiss writers masterfully dip their quills in black – or sometimes blood red – ink in the heart of the French capital this summer. Chase away the gloom of Sunday night and savour the suspense, Swiss-style: meet at the Wanderlust at the appointed witching (and drinking) hour for original literary performances, readings, lectures and discussions between the writers and lovers of crime novels.
"Murder and madness" with Antoine Jaquier et Marie-Christine Horn.
Are murderers criminally insane? Or is there a killer in every one of us? Ask Lausanne-based Antoine Jaquier, winner of the 2016 Prix des lecteurs de la Ville de Lausanne and author of Ils sont tous morts and Avec les chiens (published by Age d’Homme), which places a serial child killer face-to-face with the fathers of his victims; and Marie-Christine Horn, author of Tout ce qui est rouge (Age d’Homme), whose novel brings the reader in the dark universe of prison psychiatry mixing art brut and madness following the tracks of a serial killer.

This is what we call 'le Slow Foot', or slow football, and that is our goal: to give everyone, from the most ardent fans to the bon viveurs – who will find the best DJs and burgers/sausages at the Wanderlust – an outdoor arena to share a moment (or even more) dedicated to football, festivities and fine food.

Winners and Losers de Lech Kowalski – Piazza Grande
80 min, o.v. st. French
"The film that concludes this selection is Lech Kowalski’s Winners and Losers, screened on the Piazza Grande as the closing film some ten years ago. The film takes the spectators of the World Cup final as material from which to weave a vast tapestry of a narrative in which comedy, melodrama and tragedy are all one. This film in particular is a way of paying tribute to what makes the Festival del film Locarno unique, i.e. its highly discerning yet generous audience, always keen to embark on adventurous trips of discovery.“ Carlo Chatrian, Artistic Director
The final Italy versus France match in the 2006 football world cup, which received enormous media coverage due to Zidane’s head butting of Materazzi, is filmed in Lech Kowalski’s latest documentary in a very personal style, without ever showing the players, focusing on those protagonists who are invisible yet indispensable to the success of such an event: the supporters. The latter are shown, in Rome and in Paris, in their homes and in cafes, watching the match on a giant screen. Mirrors of modern society, these new stars, filmed before and after the final, are shown in all their complexity, in their particular everyday lives. Looking beyond the tension and chauvinism aroused by such an event, the enthusiasm and the aggressiveness, Winners and Losers explores human nature with a great deal of affection, humour and realism.

Montreux Comedy takes over the House of Switzerland! Equipped with microphones, the Montreux Comedy team takes the field!
Montreux Comedy takes over the House of Switzerland! Equipped with microphones, the Montreux Comedy team takes the field! The objective? Representing humor in all of its forms! Well, what better way to do it than by commenting Euro 2016’s matches in a fun and cutting way?
During the first Euro 2016 semifinal, you will have the occasion of choosing between two commentaries: the classic – and, let’s say it, sometimes boring – or the one made by laughter and football-enthusiastic professionals! Silent-disco fans… the idea is the same: a pair of headphones and two sport commentaries…the choice is up to you! Change the frequency! With “What the Foot” the times of technic and boring football are over!
A concept proposed in collaboration with Studio France school and Montreux Comedy.
